Dit is nie baie verbasend dat Belize aanhou om homself in die voet te skiet nie. Dit wys waarskynlik dat hierdie jurisdiksie net na jou geld is (en hulle gee nie om om jou te dien nie). In twee regulasies (gedateer 2018 en 2019), die regering verbied het:
- alle IBC's van intellektuele eiendom hou (!)
- all IBCs from being holding companies (holding shares of other companies).
Penalty is: US$25,000 for the first offence, and US$100,000 for any subsequent one.
