Het is niet zo verwonderlijk dat Belize zichzelf in de voet blijft schieten. Het laat waarschijnlijk zien dat deze jurisdictie alleen maar op uw geld uit is (en het maakt ze niet uit om je te dienen). In twee verordeningen (gedateerd 2018 and 2019), de regering heeft het verboden:
- alle IBC's mogen geen intellectueel eigendom bezitten (!)
- all IBCs from being holding companies (holding shares of other companies).
Penalty is: US$25,000 for the first offence, and US$100,000 for any subsequent one.
