Gælder 1. april 2020: det årlige vedligeholdelsesgebyr stiger fra US$450 til US$500 for alle LLC'er og IBC'er. Partnerskaber og udenlandsk søfartsenhed (FME) er uændrede.

Denne stigning skyldes omkostningerne ved at overholde reglerne om økonomiske stoffer, som EU har skubbet ind på Marshalløerne.

Taler om suverænitet: do not be surprised Brexit happened. After all the Marshall Islands are not in the EU so it is easy to walk on them. It was written already: the Article 4(2) of the Treaty on European Union respects other Member States only.

Let’s send a big thank you to the European Union for making everyone US$50 poorer! Fortunately: that extra levy will go to the Marshall Islands (and not the EU!).
